Advanced Technologies for Better Life (ATEMs) develops biomedical devices and therapeutics for treating degenerative tissue defects using scaffold-free tissue engineering. This technology manufactures tissue using only cultured cells and cell-based materials to restore and maintain functionality. Such revolutionary products treat cartilage defects, growth plate damage, adhesion between tissues and other musculoskeletal system and joint issues.

ATEMs is a South Korean company that found its home in Winston-Salem’s RegenMed Hub in 2022. It will continue working towards its vision of bringing mobility to those with degenerative defects across the globe.
