YMCA Latino Achievers Gala

During the Latino Achievers Gala, we recognize and award students receiving the scholarships that were donated by Community businesses and individuals.
The event begins with a quick introduction of what the Latino Achievers Program is and how it impacts Forsyth County. Then, a dinner is served in a buffet style by local caterers. While guests enjoy their food, a keynote speaker brings a motivational speech about pursuing a higher education. At the end of the event we present our Volunteer plaques to community leaders/mentors who have spend their time with our students.
We also recognize the teachers and counselors that are the key individuals to the success of the program in our partnership with WSFCS. Lastly, this year, we will be recognizing scholarship recipients with $10,000 from community donations!
