Virtual: “Meet the Author” The Incredible Joy of Collecting African American Art: My Journey from Frog Town

Patrick Diamond’s multilayered debut memoir describes the tremendous impact of a grandmother’s love and how art educated one young child about his own history and culture. The author will discuss what he and his wife Judy learned over the course of four decades of collecting art; a question and answer session will follow. Diamond is a past member of Reynolda’s National Advisory Council and former Development Director of the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture in Charlotte.
