Join us for an empowHERing session with acclaimed professor and entrepreneur, Dr. Ariel Smith. What happens when always being there for others leaves women absent for our own needs and desires? What does it look like for women to put ourselves first? It’s time to get someone else to do it!

Dr. Ariel D. Smith is an entrepreneur and academic professor whose work has been centered in Black community and economic advancement for the past decade. She is a consultant for municipalities, nonprofits, small businesses, tech, and higher ed institutions. Dr. Smith is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship at Wake Forest University.

Parking is available at the nearby Link Apartments Parking Deck (530 N Patterson Ave, Winston-Salem). You can access the parking deck through three entrances: N Patterson Ave, N Chestnut St., and E 6th St. Upon entering the parking deck, please take a parking ticket and keep your parking ticket with you as you enter the building. Please see one of the HUSTLE Winston-Salem team members before you leave as they will be available to validate your parking. When you’re ready to leave the parking deck: scan the barcode on your ticket, followed by your validation, to exit the parking deck free of charge.
