There has been a common narrative around “we don’t play” when it comes to how the Black community raises our children, particularly in the area of strict discipline. Join this conversation and hear perspectives for a more ‘traditional’ parenting style versus a more trauma resilient approach that’s helping to reframe the common narrative towards the concept of gentle parenting.

Our 2022 theme is “Falling BLACK in Love” where we will celebrate and pay homage to the incredible feats, accomplishments, and achievements of African-American culture. It is imperative that we show the community that Black people and Black-led organizations are exceptional. These conversations strive to inspire the community to support, encourage, uplift, and protect African American culture.
