Second Harvest Food Bank Food Distribution

Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina will host a food distribution on SATURDAY, February 27, 2021, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm, or until all food has been distributed. We are pleased to be partnering with the Maya Angelou Center for Health Equity at Wake Forest School of Medicine to provide a variety of important health information, PPE, and more.
The address for the food distribution site is 733 North Research Parkway in Winston-Salem. No documentation is needed, but you will be asked to provide some basic information to determine USDA eligibility for some of the food items being offered.
If someone will be picking food up on your behalf, you will need to know whether that person receives food stamps. If the answer is no, the pickup person will need to know the number in the person’s household and the gross weekly or monthly household income as we will be distributing some TEFAP items (government-funded commodities) at this distribution.
All COVID-19 safety rules and guidelines will be enforced. Social distancing will be enforced. No one will be allowed to get out of their vehicles. Our volunteers will load your vehicle. Volunteers and National Guard soldiers will be wearing protective face masks and gloves.
Please make sure there is plenty of empty space in your vehicle for the food.
