Innovation & Cinema: School of Rock

Usher in the back-to-school season with the most rockin’ substitute teacher out there! School of Rock held the title of highest-grossing music-themed comedy for more than a decade, so you know you’re in for a good time with this 2003 film.

Not only is Jack Black hilarious in his lead role, but the soundtrack for this movie is also pretty epic. Get ready to jam out on the lawn of Bailey Park to hard rock, heavy metal, and some good ole rock and roll, too.

Thanks to local vendors, you’ll have lots of great dinner or movie snack options available, too. Food and beverages will be available for purchase starting at 7 p.m., and then, starting at sunset, school will be in session.

Outside alcohol is prohibited, but outside food is welcome. Plan to bring your own seating–a blanket or low-backed chair so everyone can see well. If your dog comes along, please make sure they’re on a leash.   

In the case of inclement weather, changes to the screening will be made by 4 p.m. on the day of the event. Keep an eye on iQ social channels for those weather updates.
