Public Parking in the Innovation Quarter

The sign on the side of the Link Apartments Innovation Quarter building.

Location: E. Sixth Street and Patterson Avenue. Access the lot from Sixth Street or Patterson Avenue. Find four electric vehicle charging stations on the first level of Link Parking Deck.

Cost: First hour is free, then it’s $1 per half hour with $9 per day maximum. Monthly passes available for $60.

Hours: Open 24 hours a day

The Fourth Street and Church Street parking deck.

Location: E. Fifth Street and N. Chestnut Street. Access the lot from E. Fifth Street.

Cost: $1 an hour with a $9 per day maximum.

Hours: 6:30 am–7 pm, Monday–Friday

The Forsyth County Government Center can be used for Innovation Quarter parking.

Location: N. Church Street and E. Third Street. Access the lot from N. Church Street.

Cost: $1 per hour with $9 per day maximum.

Innovation Quarter street parking

Street Parking

You’ll find on-street parking on Patterson Avenue across from Bailey Power Plant, on Vine Street across from Bailey Park and on E. Fourth Street near Piedmont Leaf Lofts. Most meters allow one- to two-hour parking. As well as a metered lot off Fourth or Third Streets, next to Krankies.

Cost: Regular meters accept only quarters. Rates vary.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The Innovation Quarter offers four electric vehicle charging stations for the most innovative cars on the road on the first level of the Link Parking Deck, located on E. Sixth Street and Patterson Avenue. There are also two, level-two OpConnect stations on N. Patterson Avenue.

Cost: OpConnect stations are $2.10 per hour.

Public Transportation and Shuttle Service to and from the Innovation Quarter

Winston-Salem Transit Authority buses

Winston-Salem Transportation Authority (WSTA)

WSTA provides various convenient and cost-effective public transportation options, including fixed-route buses and Trans-AID services (door-to-door transportation for elderly or disabled citizens). Bus services include daytime, night and weekend routes throughout Winston-Salem, including stops in the Innovation Quarter.

Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART)

PART offers affordable and efficient transportation throughout the greater Piedmont region, offering various bus routes to major towns and cities. To reduce congestion during the Business 40 closure, PART has also increased service on several routes.

Shuttle service for Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is provided to and from the Innovation Quarter.

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Shuttles

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist offers handicap-accessible van services with various routes to and from Medical Center locations, including stops in the Innovation Quarter. The Innovation Quarter shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 8:30 am–5:00 pm with stops at Eden Terrace, the Richard H. Dean Building, Wake Forest Biotech Place and 525@vine.

Vans run Monday–Friday (excluding holidays) and are available for patients, visitors, students, faculty and staff. For shuttle service assistance, please call +1.336.716.7433.

Wake Forest University Shuttles

The Wake Line is a shuttle service for Wake Forest University students, faculty and staff with a stop in the Innovation Quarter via the Wake Downtown shuttle. Shuttle service runs every 15 minutes on weekdays (7:25 am–11:10 pm) and every 30 minutes on weekends (10 am–6:25 pm) with stops at Benson University Center on the campus of Wake Forest University and Vine Street in the Innovation Quarter.
