Bailey Park Water Wall

1 minute read

You will always find an answer in the sound of water. – Chuang Tzu

The words of Tzu now adorn the new Bailey Park water wall, a community development initiative supported by local foundations and corporations to enhance the beauty and enjoyment of Bailey Park. The centerpiece of this project is the water feature, which cascades over a wall into the pool below. LED lights installed at the bottom of the pool and behind the signs that flank the wall display a colorful rotation of lights.

Other enhancements include a new entrance plaza in front of the wall and a staircase that connects the two levels of Bailey Park. Opposite the staircase is a new landscape feature anchored by limestone terraces, planting areas and a border of cherry trees. Much of the limestone was salvaged from abatement projects in the Innovation Quarter.
